The Tampa Bay region has emerged as the preferred destination for corporate shared services operations as 10% of the Fortune 50 and 9% of the Fortune 100 have located their SSOs here.

The Financial and Shared Services Gap Analysis was initiated because of the area’s recent and expected growth in the financial and shared services sector. Tampa Bay has been a top destination for companies that are looking to create, expand, or relocate their financial and shared services operations. Companies that represent 74.3% of the financial and shared services employees responded to the analysis. Positions and skill sets are listed by current, one-year, and three-year demand, along with the level of difficulty hiring each position.

Overall, companies rated their challenge of hiring locally and recruiting to the area as only slightly difficult. On a scale of 1-5, with 1 being the easiest, respondents ranked their ease of hiring workers locally at 2.2. Below are the findings:
